    October 9th, 2020. At 8,500 square feet, Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten’s new shop — his seventh — is his largest, bigger than the ones in his hometown of Antwerp, Belgium, or in Paris. Located on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, in the home of a former jewelry factory and across from the stalwart diner Norms, the spacious store, which opened Friday, would feel ambitious in scope even if it weren’t for the fact that it came together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Planning Commission Approves Scaled Back Design Of Beverly Blvd Building

    December 1st, 2017. West Hollywood’s Planning Commission on Thursday night unanimously approved a slightly scaled back retail-residential project on Beverly Boulevard that it had previously rejected. The scaled back version has 26 residential units four of which are set aside for lower-income tenants. It also moves the required common space for residents from the roof to the ground level and encloses the entrance to the subterranean parking garage to reduce noise.

    February 25, 2016. Inglewood business owner Arash Danialifar received a special commendation from the Inglewood City Council on Tuesday. The owner of General Discount Store in Inglewood since 2010, Danialifar recently donated $10,000 worth of retail goods to 148 families, including toys, outdoor gear, automotive supplies and more. Danialifar is a sponsor of the Annual District 4 Christmas Toy & Food Drive and also contributes to the Inglewood Community Services Corporation, the City’s nonprofit.
